Even the biggest pro league runs drug-tested “Natural Pro” shows
Alongside its untested shows, the IFBB Pro League held a full 2026 season of Natural Pro contests with strict anti-doping rules.

The IFBB Pro League is the largest professional bodybuilding organisation in the world — and most of its shows do not test athletes for performance-enhancing drugs. Yet the same league also runs a separate series of drug-tested “Natural Pro” contests.
A busy 2026 season
This year’s Natural Pro calendar in the United States included, among others:
the Oregon Natural Pro in Salem (27 June)
the Emerald Cup Natural Pro in Bellevue, Washington
the Las Vegas Natural Pro
the Kansas City Natural Pro
Strict rules
Under the NPC / IFBB Pro natural contest rules, athletes must stay clear of banned substances — anabolic agents, hormone modulators, insulin and more — for set periods before competing, ranging from three years down to twelve hours depending on the substance.
Why it matters
When even the league best known for untested bodybuilding builds a dedicated natural series, it shows how strong the demand for clean competition has become — from athletes and from fans.
